Billie Eilish’s Grammys 2022 Hair and Makeup Included a Very Emo Ponytail – See Photos

Since Billie Eilish cut her baby bangs and dyed her hair black back in February, she’s mostly worn her shoulder-length shag down. But the Grammys are all about experimenting, and so tonight the singer – who’s nominated for Album of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album – decided to switch things up with a piece-y ponytail and face-framing layers.

It’s a far cry from this time last week, when Eilish graced the Oscars red carpet wearing a very old Hollywood-esque bob. This time around, Eilish matched her jet-black hair to the skinny sunglasses that somehow defied gravity with tip-of-the-nose placement. Eilish left some of her strands out of the ponytail, which gave it some movement and drew attention to her face – and her statement-making accessory.

The hair, which gives a sort of an emo peacock vibe, took a starring role in Eilish’s beauty look. But she didn’t slouch in the makeup department, either. Her rosy pink lipstick projected understated confidence, especially seeing as it matched the touch of blush on her cheeks. This came courtesy of Eilish’s go-to makeup artist, Robert Rumsey, who showed off his work via Instagram Stories.
